Children in Need. It is a charity that almost everyone has heard of. But what is it?
Children in Need is a charity that exists to raise money for the disadvantaged children all across the UK. There is a strong ethos and passion from all those who work for Children in Need to provide exciting opportunities for children. The vision of the charity is to ensure that every child in the UK has a safe, happy childhood where they can reach their full potential.
Children in Need Day is on Friday 17th November this year, and as always, it will replace regular programming on BBC One, in the hopes of raising another record breaking sum of money to help children who are in need all across the UK.
Money raised by Children in Need goes to local charities and community projects to make sure that every child gets the chance to be happy and safe, that every child gets to feel the benefit of enriching experiences in their early life. To date Children in Need have raised over £1 Billion! From the money raised in last year’s appeal alone, over 460,000 children benefitted.
The charity has a rigorous application process that community projects and businesses can go through to apply for grants and funding. Only if they meet the highest of standards and offer the most precise of promises do they get funding from the charity.
So why are we pitching about Children in Need on our blog page?
Here at Fiesta we love doing our bit to provide engaging, enriching experiences for children that attend our clubs, wraparound services and holiday camps. Our ethos and vision for the children in our care, aligns tidily with those of Children in Need, we also want to make that difference. We also believe in joining in on charity and community events, raising money for children in need is something we feel passionate about. We feel it is so important that we use our platform to help make sure that money is raised for this year’s Children in Need appeal- let’s make this year just as good, if not better, than last year’s!
We know that times are hard currently, but if you can donate towards this wonderful cause, please click here.
We hope to see our staff and the children we look after through our clubs and other services, engaging with this cause on the day itself. Every penny helps, and it really can change the lives of children in your local area, as well as across the UK as a whole.
